As a professional motivational speaker, certified life coach, and lover of all things bread, Chet Fery has translated his love of baking and philanthropy in a way that changes lives. He gives about 138 motivational talks a year, roughly two to three bread talks a week, bringing freshly baked loaves for every person in attendance.
For the past 18 years, Fery has been making an impact through the power of bread. Single-handedly in his own kitchen, he has made over 90,000 loaves. At 67 years old, retirement is near but age is just a number and he questions stopping when he has given away 100,000 loaves.
“It’s all part of him. He always has been the type of person to try and make you feel comfortable, no matter what position he was in,” his wife, Marina Fery said.
His message is simple: kindness, along with the power of spreading it to other people. He spreads it through four simple ingredients: flour, yeast, salt and water. That’s all it takes.
There is an indescribable feeling when someone tastes freshly baked bread out of the oven. Fery intends to share that feeling as long as he can while hoping it impacts more people to do the same.
