The Landmark Society of Western New York featured Brockport’s Morgan Manning House on its 2026 Five to Revive list.
The Five to Revive list began in 2013 and highlights buildings, landscapes or structures that have the “potential to spark broader neighborhood and community renewal,” according to the Landmark Society’s website.
The Landmark Society works alongside property owners, municipal officials and developers to “encourage reinvestment and thoughtful rehabilitation, helping these places once again play active roles in their communities.”
The Morgan Manning House has been under restoration since a four-alarm fire damaged its interior in January 2025. The staff of the Morgan Manning House took to Facebook to thank the Landmark Society of Western New York on Feb. 27.
The historical site in the Brockport Village will join the Pearson Cobblestone House in Newark, the Seneca Falls Machine Company Plant, the Cutler Mail Chute Company building in Rochester and LGBTQ+ community sites across the region.
